I have been reading a book this week called Christian Teachings on the Practice of Prayer: from the Early Church to the Present, and can't get enough time in my day to keep absorbing the writings in this book. There aren't too many books that really become part of me, but I highly recommend this to all of you, no matter what your religious background. The writings are all around a page or less, reflections from saints, priests, pastors, founding leaders of denominations. The writings are all on prayers and intercession. I have had five mornings straight where all I wanted to do was get my coffee & restart this book! Let me know if you'd like me to set one aside for you. It's as high on my list of meaningful books as Streams in the Desert was that I recommended if you or a friend are experiencing grief or just plain hardship in your life. So, there! That's all I had to let you know this morning!
